Fish finder woes

Hi All,

Been thinking of getting a new fish finder, was wondering if anyone had any ideas on whether to buy a cheap colour or a better grey scale. I was looking at either the Raymarine DS400X or the Lowrance X135 - does anyone have either of these units and how do they scratch up?

Using it for depths around the 36 faths.

Theres a few discussions on here regarding sounders and even one on what everyone else is using. I looked at the Lowrance 135 and the Matrix 37X, seems much of a muchness but you need the dual frequency option if you're going that deep. You will get more for your money in B&W than the same money at a colour one.

I've decided to go for the Matrix 37X myself for the same type of use.

Ask Mackmauler about the Raymarine. ;D ;D ;D ;D Colour is the only way to go for outside now.
