Hi guys just letting you know that Coomera River Tackle although only a small shop has teamed up with Ausfish to offer Ausfish members some really good bargains , All Ausfisho’s that come in wearing Ausfish hats or beanies and be will recieve ten Percent off all purchases... that includes ten percent off things like Berkley 3” bass minnows which have already been reduced to a awesome low price of $6.95 ,thats makes’m $ 6.25 ..Holy crap. Gulps minnows $7.95 10 % -$ 7.15 Spike it scents $15.50 - 10% down to $13.95 and stren magna thin leader $4.50 down to $4.05 .
Ugly duckling lures and Jackalls now in store. Ausfish beanies, hats and stickers coming in store very soon.
Fishing the area has been a bit hot and cold lately , some really nice bream, 2 kg and over have been coming in with most been caught on fresh baits . Some local guys have pulled a few fish in the 2kg plus class with a 2.5 kg bream and whopping 3 kg bream.. The 2.5 kgs bream is the freezer , waiting for the taxidermy .if yah in area come in for a squizz cause this thing just has to be seen its absolutely massive.
The odd school jew are get caught in the deeper holes, and around the bridges at night. Anywhere theres strong lights at night is worth a go with some big soft plastics.
Hows this for something different , meet a guy a few weeks back, that trolls the river with a radio control boat , he has a catamaran setup about 5-6 foot long with a short rod mounted in the middle and trolls a few chrome slices and other lures around and has been picking up a few tailor ...had a quick glance at the boat , would love to see the thing in action, CRIKEY imagine in summer when a few big jacks are getting around you’d be hoping its got some grunt.

Cheers CRT :)

Great stuff Coomera tackle [smiley=2thumbsup.gif] It'd be good to get a regular report from the area too! Are you a large store? Does discount apply to your rods and reels?

hey CRT,

put your adress & phone number in the "signature" part of your profile (its at the bottom) so we can find you. I'm guessing you're near the Coomera River ::), home of big jacks & horse whiting.

We are only a small shop , but over the pass 6 months we have been increasing stock and plan to continue doing so. What we dont have in stock we can generally order in for yah. Basically us two tackle/fishing crazy idiots that work shop. Dean and myself (Steve).
We carry and deal with abu ,daiwa, shimano, penn ,alvey, mitchell, shakespeare, to name a few of the bigger brand names.
And the 10 percent discount applies to hooks, lures, reels and rods, umm everything, can’t think of anything off the head it wont apply too. Ohh except for Steve’s super crazy discount items .(thats in the pipeline i’ll tell yah about that later)
We plan on offering a few different services too in the near future like with some new reels (examples: calcutta’s, cvz’s,cvx’s, abu c4s ) they will come with upgraded Erskines drag washers already installed and totally free .. no extra labour cost involved. Off the shelf and ready for that big barra trip north.

We plan on posting regular reports on the area and what happening and doing tackle reviews.

Regards CRT

ps thanks Tolga , BTW, are you going in the flatty classic this year..?

Guys this fish has to be seen in the flesh to do it the justice it deserves. I am convinced it is a fish from the prehistoric era! A pic will not do it justice for those who really love their bream and breamin...

And while you are at it why not shop around and pickup an item or two

Great intiative guys, great range of products, great service and great prices !!!!

Will be back for sure.

Its a hell of a bream , I’ll have to get Dean to take a digital pic of it. Unfortunate I’m still behind times and use film cameras . A digital camera is on my wish list but somewhere below the ever growing list
of must have fishing tackle.
Caleb with a spiel like that we should hire you as our full time PR guy .. We’ve changed the shop a lot from what it use to be, and plan to continuely do so. We try to make it the public’s shop alway open for suggestions, ideas, new stock and so on.
Scotty will try to find out a price for you tommorow about the fish taxidermy.

Dean showed me the bream the other day and its something to behold, gut on it like a yellowbelly. I can't recommend these fellow's highly enough, great range of the plastics that actually work and are bloody cheap even before the discount. Will be back again sometime this week.

Thanks guys it good to get good feedback. Hope we can help you out in getting better bargains and better service.

Clutter , sorry i miss yah in the shop the other day , Dean a good guy who loves fishing and talking about it just as much.. ;D
Did yah give those eyeballz a go yet...
i love them ,gave them a shot the other day , score about a dozen bream and 8 decent flatties on them . just working fast current lines hopping them along the bottom and just letting them sit there letting the tail do the work. match with the 211-gammy's jig heads they head stand just right.
Now i'm all out, doh ,waiting for the next shipment to come in. Might have to flog some of Dean in the meantime.. ;D
