I broke my trustly abu spin rod today putting it in the car :(

Good news is that it means I can buy a new one ;D

I need a rod to flick some soft plastics around, reel is Daiwa Samarai 3i 1500, 6lb fireline. Anything 5-6 foot would be good. I can't spend too much though, probably under $100 if possible.

What do people think of this rod?

Thats not a bad rod but why not get a Daiwa rod to go with your Daiwa reel :). Daiwa have made some bloody nice light spin rods over the years, for under $100 I'd have a look at the procaster-s Daiwas.

1. Shakespeare synergy
2. Wilson sovereign
3. Daiwa procyon
4. Live fibre's
All round the hundred dollar mark, all good rods.

For soft plastics in that price range try the Squidgy sticks, Shimano Raider series or for about $125 you can pick up a Strudwick SicStik.
