Calcutta 150 maintenance

I have recently bought a cacutta 150 and am wondering how to clean it. Can u wash them with fresh water? I did that with my okuma inspira and the head bearing rusted within two days. ???

Gently rinse off with fresh water, no high pressure hoses.
Dry thoroughly, and wipe with lanoguard, inox etc on a rag.
Drop or two of light oil on worm, reel handle etc
Store in a dust free, dark place.
Full service every 12 months or less depending on amount of use.
Have serviced IMMEDIATLY if dropped or swamped in salt water.

I Have a calcuuta 200 and just give it and the whole rod a light spray with the hose when I get home, every 8-10 months strip and oil everything. Been good for 3 or so years.

Rinse off with fresh water with the drag done up nice and tight. Pull the sideplate off and remove the spool, wipe down with inox and Bob's your uncle.
