ok so i have noticed alot of you have those little BBQ that use the butain canisters and i have caved in and decided the sounds of a nice snag sangga wouldn't ba a bad thing while fishing
so i would like to know apart from the BBQ what do you think are the must haves for a fishing or faimly cook up on the boat ???

Yeh, don't forget the tomato sauce or the butter or the oil for the pan or a butter knife (I don't recommend using your bait knife :-X)... all of the above I have forgotten, not all at once but at one stage or another ::) A beer goes nicely with anything on bbq as well ;) Seriously, a couple of shopping bags/garbage bags for scraps or to put the dirty frypan/bbq plate in until you get home to wash it.

basserman i carry a big plastic sealed tub i bought from Big W and in it i carry, Coffee, Sugar, plastic cups, knifes n forks,Frypan, tong, Wee pot for the odd soup, and halfe a litre of vegy oil for cooking my Fish n Chips whilst overnighting :)..
Mindya i only cook if its flat or can get behind shelter so the boat dont rock n roll too much making it dangerouse for cooking on a 20 ftr..
I lay a non slip rubber matty ontop of my esky and have one of those particular stoves i think your talking about from Big W /Kmart or camping stores..
Use the disposable canisters and wouldnt be without one nowadays a nuthin better than a fresh brew or a feed of bacon n eggs of amorning ;)..
And you know sometimes that Red Emperor that is Juuuuuuuuuuuuuuusssssssssssstttttt a smidgeon over the legal size and you know is gunna shrink juuuuuuuuuuussssssssstttttt under the size after its been put on ice makes a coupla nice fillets if caught just before lunch or teatime ey ;D ::) :-X..
So yep, must carry that frypan around :)..
Cheers

one of those $10-$20 wood handle cast iron frypans you can buy from the camping section of kmart & a piece wood (thin ply) you can sit it on when its hot.
Pre cook the onions at home & take in a snap lock bag.
Pre butter the rolls
Buy some small size things once, like the sauce, oil etc & only carry enough for the trip wash & top up once home for next time

One other thing you can use on the BBQ is the good old jaffle iron.Does the trick on a cold night.I use to do mine on an army stove in my 12 ft tinny on my overnight trips down the pin in winter.

Hi basserman,
I try and keep everything in a small container. Used another BBQ box and keep everything in that. Holds everything I need.
