Hooking live prawns

What's the best method for rigging live prawns?

My favorite is to flip them on their back, and insert through the "V" of the back flukes for about half an inch then out through the belly side, push the shank through to the eye, then turn the hook and out through the back so the barb is sticking out.

Seems to keep them alive for a while, but it does restrict their movement a lot.

I usually add a couple of heavier split shot above the hook.

Anyone got a better idea, and why?

i useually just hook them through the back and a split shot on top of thatthey move frely and if a big fish is around they willl have no troble consuming the whole prawn but smaller fish do tend to noble and some times ripe them of but who want small fish
