Often fish the pine river using bait and see lots of guys using cast nets.
Can borrow my Dad's and was interested to know what you catch there and what sort of spots to cast into.
Do you need to cast near the banks or into deeper water.
Would love to get some live prawnies.
Cheers

Keep an eye out for the men in raincoats, you can often see them early morning casting into the deep hole on the left of the bridge if you are heading North on the road. They seem to use very wide nets with a very long rope as these holes are very deep. There are a few other locations on the river that they target as well. I have had little luck with live bait in the Pine aside from a few poddy mullet in the past. I have given up on the live bait and have gone to Plastics as I found myself spending way too long chasing bait and not enough time fishing. Good luck though.
