SP's are great

well after reading all the posts about how good SP's are i thought ok its time i got myself some and gave them a go,so off to the shops yesterday i went,my fiancee and i headed out today with peter (rainbowrunner) and his son kaimen (bassamundi) to mud and tangas and as they used bait most the day i thought what the heck im not gonna touch any bait at all today and fished with my SP's,i only managed heaps of grinners and a few pike and my fiancee managed a undersize sand flattie,few pike and grinners also on the SP's.

i believe with a bit more practice using them we should be able to catch some decent fish

so thumbs up for the plastics :)

Did you use the gulps at all?

I just started in SP's too, but haven't had chance to get out yet, but the gulps SMELL like they should attaract every fish in the bay.

yer the gulps are very stinky i caught most of the grinners and pike on them

Grinners, pike & toadies really love any "brown" coloured plastics.... Unfortunately so do snapper, flatties, bream, etc...

However the good news is that the second list of fish also like lots of other colours, whereas the first list don't take them as readily! ;D

Try going for colours in the blues, greens, etc and you will find you shouldn't catch as much much "rubbish" fish.

You can also try upsizing your plastic to a bigger plastic as well. The next bream caught on a 4 inch stick bait plastic won't be the first (Or last!!!)
