Seem to lose a hell of a lot or rigs to the bottomwhen I go drinfting around the bay islands. Does everyone have this problem? Is there a way to rig them that make them less likely to snag without altering there fish catching ability?
I think I am working them right. I can I the direction of drift and work them back to the boat but seem to be getting them hooked up every second cast.
Any advice would be appreciated.

If you are not sure how you are working them, try a few sessions with them in a pool, most people realise that they might be overworking them. I also suspect your jigheads may be too heavy.

If its weedy areas you are getting snagged on, try the texas rig using a worm style hook.

You can use plastics in a Patonestor style as well... Just stick them on the hook, and away you go...
