g'day i have seen earlier posts where this samurai blank has been cut down and built up as a baitcaster.

I was wondering if anyone has built it it up as a spin rod and if so how does it perform.

It is a 7' 6kg spin blank so yes, makes an awesome spin rod

how does it perform on lighter lures / slugs? is it a genuine fast action blank?

flicks lures around 15grams or 1/2 oz great. very light weight you won't be disappointed. Would make a superb spin stick flicking slugs up to around 45grams
