Hey,
I'm looking to upgrade to a really solid rod for flicking around plastics to match my Stradic 1000FH. At the moment I've been looking at the Black Diamond Bream Reaper rods as far as some idea of budget. I've been trying to find out information regarding how much Millerrods Bream Busters cost and where you get them. Do tackle shops stock them or are they all custom made to order? Any information or suggestions would be most appreciated. Cheers,
Kev

Hi Mate,

I don't know if it's an option for you, and I know you did say "quality", but I noticed that BCF are having a sale on the Ian Miller Shimano Raiders. They've got a 7'6" Bream Finesse 2-4Kg (as well as all the shorter 1 piece rods in the range) for $99.

I know it's not as good as what you originally mentioned, but great value for that price. I just bought one myself, even though I wasn't in the market for one. Just can't go past a bargain at times.

Don't tell the wife. Anyone got any tips on how to hide rods from female eyes? ;) :D

Good luck,
Mike

Daiwa Procaster-Z are nice rods for soft plastics, IM8 graphite. I think they've been replaced by a new model now which is around the $400+ mark from memory. Can't remember the name of the new model but they are nice rods.

The Heartland Z's are a pretty neat weapon, or even have a look at the G.Loomis IMX range. They are some upper echelon bream rods as well at a lazy $550 a rod.....or you can go for the GL3. Nice thing is the lifetime warranty you get with them.

I just got delivery of my new Nitro Bream Finnese rod. It looks the absolute goods! Can't wait to use it...

They can be pricey, but from the look of it, they look like they will definately worth it! Canoedle also just got one as well (We both bought them off the same guy) and he is stoked with his! Apparently your casting distance is greatly improved. :D Can't wait!!!

The Shimano Raider rods also look REALLY good. I was going to buy one of those for the bream tournaments, but the Nitro was too good a deal ;)

Half your luck, my wife can't stand fishing. She still occasionally comes out, but it's worse than having a kid in the boat: "How much longer wil we be here?" :(

Good luck,
Mike

Yea the raiders are a top rod for the money.
Ive got a radier 7' 2" Bream finesse and its a great rod. Plenty of casting power and enough down low to put some good pressure on decent fish. By far the best rod ive ever owned. ;)
