They may not always be the absolute cheapest every single time, but it is pretty rare that they would be beaten by much. I have about a 40 minute drive to get there, but it is worth the drive. Don't forget to mention ausfish member and they take 5% off, plus with bigger ticket items, they have been happy to do special deals. Just talk to them.

They have been talked about on ausfish a fair bit over the last 6 months or so, but a few of us have found the same for years.

Has my vote.

went to sundown marine last wednesday to check out the gear and tackle and knowin that the sale on the 7 8 9th, one of the sales representive was willing to adjust the prices, friend of mine pick up 2 raider rods for 100 each, so that a bargin right there..

so its well worth the drive and check it out, might find something that suits you..

Have they stop producing tlds and a new model is through? Just asking because I would like to get some tlds in the future but a the prices I'm seeing them scared wont be any left by the time I can afford to buy some.

If that's the Shimano Raider rods, that's a great rod for that price!

They seem to give great service. I have spoken to Sundown Marine on the phone numerous times to find them 100% helpful. I just got my latest BCF catologue in the local paper yesterday and the TLD's are $155,165 and 175. 15,20,25. Raider rods are $99 too. But as i've said in the past....whenever any store has a decent special price.....there hard to beat. Roddy

Thank you all for the support,we have a serious go at being the best we can in a very competitive industry and it is comments like we have just read that re-inforce our view that we are doing the right things day in ,day out.
We have reached the stage now that we are getting to know many Ausfishers who make the trip to come and see us on regular visits and this works well for us ,Ausfishers and the many regulars who have never heard of this place.

Well done Sundown Marine! It seems to me that if someone doesnt get a product at the cheapest price possible from a supplier, they end up bagging them! I believe that great service and the right advice is so much more important than the bloody price tag! I would personally rather pay a slightly higher price for a product knowing that the product will do what i want it to and it is the right choice for me. How do you know if it is the right product for you? You know by using a reputable dealer who gives great service and the right advice.

Cheap is good, but getting great service from someone who will stand behind the product and look after the customer is a different story altogether.

Good going Sundown Marine! You've done Ausfishers proud, and although you might get the odd person whinging cause someone else cut the guts out the price to save them $20, you're on the ball, and you've certainly looked after me when I needed it!
