Just wanting to find out if anyone has one of these reels, what they think about them. I can get one for about $200 more than a calcutta 200B. Just wanting to work out if its worth spending all that extra $$$
Cheers

Mark ,
Check Shimano Conquest series , there is a guy whom you can ask to source it from Japan or if you prefer the international edition , Calcutta GTE series . I am sure if you are willing to spend extra A$. 200.- , you might as well consider these .

Yes it is worth it and if it is a Japanese one (made for the Japanese market) better still.

Bear,
Yes, it is a Japanese reel. From what I have seen available new from shops, nothing comes quite close enough. I'll probably spend a few $$$ extra, but its shaping up to be worth it. At a little over $400, it'll be a good buy.
The telling difference, is the drag. Blacksheep wins hands down. For chasing big Barra in the sticks, it seems to be a no brainer.

I heard about them at a show run in a tackle shop by the Diawa rep. ;)
Ordered one on the spot, had to wait a few months until they arrived but i now have one and will be testing it out in about a week and a half, will let you know how it goes ;)
Great drag system i believe, not sure what it is rated at but it's way up there :)
Cheers,
John.
