How much line do I need?

Just wondering how much line length you guys would recommend for trolling for pelagics and general bluish water fishing including bottom bashing? I know this sounds like how long is a piece of string but i am still curious. Cheers. G.

300-400m of suitable line class would do the job for most bluewater pelagic, however you may want more for larger gamefish or if using light line. I don't where you are located or what depths you fish, but in NQ we generally fish shallower than 80m, so 300-400 m of 30-50lb would be sufficient for bottom bashing.
