put on a leather glove or grab a rag. Heat existing tip, but not rod(so far as possible) with heat gun, propane or.... just enough until you can pull off the existing tip. Test regularly because the heat will affect the rod tip as well as the glue.

Go to tackle store and tell them what line you will be using, and what kind of fish you'll be targeting. Take the rod with you.

Many tips will glue straight back on, some will need thread to be removed, and those with a spur down the back will need to be bound on. Ask the shop where you buy the tip. If that shop is not the shop where you bought the rod, think about that, and be happy to pay a bit more for the tip etc, or buy some gear (no I don't own a shop)

use 24 hr araldite, or in a lighter rod, hot melt glue. If using araldite, position the rod so that the tip will stay aligned for as long as it takes for the glue to go off.

Or, ask the tackle shop to get their rod person to do it.

just go to the tackle store.... it will take them 2 seconds and you will have an idea on how to go about it next time. like most of us, you have been there enoug times and spent enough money for them to help you out once in a blue moon. problem solved...

Be ready to sacrifice the very tip of your rod if the old tip does not slide off, often the heat will weaken the tip so that it breaks off.
I have removed all my roller-tips now as it seems impossible to stop braid from slipping down the side of the roller, even with 80lb.
Replace with either Fuji or the you beaut "silicone tips", especially made for braid, I have both & both are good.
