I am in the process of fitting a livebait system and will need a timer on the pump. The BLA type seems to be an independent module while there are others that are incorporated into the switch. They all seem to be overpriced considering the cost of electrics. I have even seen float switches mounted upside down.
Can anyone give any feedback on what they are using or any alternatives
Cheers

A quick and simple timer circuit can be built using an easy to get 555 timer, and a couple other easily obtainable components (a relay, couple of potentiometers, and capacitors!)
The older catalogues actually have a circuit in them.. Not sure about the new catalogues!
A simple google on "555 timer circuit" will give you enough results to find what you're looking for..
Good luck!
