View Full Version : okuma vs200 baitcaster
Has anyone had any experiences with this reel? It looks good on paper and the 2 different spools is a handy feature. 1 shallow ported spool for bass and flathead, and 1 standard deep spool for sttretching your arms on the impoundment barra ;). Not sure if the drags on the okuma's are up to the task with the tropical species but theres always the upgrade option if needed.
Any thoughts or opinions appreciated.
cheers, Roo.
I know there's an old saying "If you've nothing good to say, then say nothing" But I'd really like to know ANY opinions on this reel :-[ :-[
Cheers, roo

iv spoken to a few blokes who have had their reals just burn out when fishing for barra.
id upgrade to something decent like curado or chronach
cheers guys. I'd prefer the curado too, although It would get most use on bass and flathead. the option to have a crack at the barra is too tempting....only a 6hr drive Nth :o

It's for The Missus :-* I like the 2 spools idea of the okuma vs200 but I'm not so sure now :-/..........but I'd like the curado 300DSV ;).
cheers, roo.
