Have read that Husky Jerks are good for jacks. What are husky jerks, are they soft plastics or hard bodies and are the expensive and do they really work well ? If they are recommended I want to give them a go.
cheers

they are a rapala lure that is shallow running (can also get a deep running) with a long narrow body. i wil be giving one a go this summer for jacks, the action ill be using is casting over structure, giving it some nice twitches to get it down, then letting it float back up and repeating.vmc hooks aswell.
bcf has a dewcent range and size of huskies, i think they are about 14 bucks or there abouts.
the link is one of the shallow runner.

i tried and I tried and I tried but I could never catch a jack using a HuskyJerk on Rapala Pro-Fishing for Playstation 2. :(
All i could ever catch was Walleye (what the hell is a walleye, and wide mouth bass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) :-/

top jack lure in shallow snaggy situations. Favourite is the white body with fluoro yellow top. Theteeth make a mess of the balsa bodies though.

A little extra info.
They are suspending lures, usually best with the water temp. around 55*-65*F. In warmer water they will float very slowly. For the money you'll pay for a Husky Jerk you might want to look at a Smithwick Super Rogue Jr., IMO a superior bait all around. Plus, over here at least, they run a couple dollars cheaper.
