I have a 2500 capricorn spooled with 10lb braid that i mostly use for throwing softies at squire and spinning metals at pelagics. All-round good quality durable smoothe spinning reel. drag however is starting to get a bit sticky and am probably going to look into carbonex wasers for it shortly. Best fish to date on it is a metre long longtail tuna (see avatar).

No wonder the drag is gettn sticky, 2500 drag washer isnt real big, not a lot of area to disperse the heat over :o ;D
Great reels, theyre going for a song now as diawa is fasing them out, so doing them heaps cheaper when they were when they first came out. I have the laguna (1 below capricorn) and i cant fault it. Good investment imo

i have a 1500 and a 2500 running 4 pound and 10 pound fireline. Landed a 5kg snapper on the 1500 :) no problems with the drag.
Excellent value for money- however i have recentley bought a sol 2000 and it is way better, but $300.
cheers mate
