View Full Version : japanese tackle stores
Recently I have heard of Japanese tackle stores offering terminal tackle at reasonable, often below Australian tackle prices. Are there any sites that are better then others? Also, how safe or reliable are the individuals running the sites?
Thanks in advance
Nick

only ones I have seen are on ebay. Get on the site and go through some items until you find a jap one and you will see a section on visiting sellers store. I have got one item from one guy(a baitcaster) so can't comment on terminal tackle. Hope this helps. Not sure if you can setup you i/net browser to search only jap sites.

Just be careful.........sometimes gear comes from Japan but actually manufactured by Chinese in China and exported via Japan where the manufacturer has an outlet. My wife is Japanese and many times she told me that whilst the pack says Japan........the Characters are written in Chinese denoting Chinese made

Try :- www.ginrinpeche.com and www.plat.co.jp also www.japantackle.com for hard to get items,Limited/Collectable etc.
I use these three sellers quite a bit,And they are all excellent.Rods,Reels,Lures and braid.
Never had a problem,And their shipping is usually faster than sellers in Australia :o.
Ebay is also an excellent source for lures and terminals.
Just got 300 VMC chemicaly sharpened hooks for $70 Au,All brand new.100 6s,100 8s and 100 10s.This would be around $360 to by here in Aus.
