what is the best walk-da-dog (spook) lure 4 bass

i want to get some of those walk the dog lures 4 bass but not shore :-/which ones are worth spending money on please gide me in the right direction ausfishers. im going out tomorrow to get some and don't want to spend money on something that stays in the bottom of my tackle box and does not get used like many other lures i have. thanks

Nugg's, pretty much anything that floats and is pencil/cigar shaped can be walked along the surface. It's more in the technique. One thing that helps is to use mono rather than fluro-carbon as leader. Fluro sinks and straightens the lure back towards the rod tip between strokes, meaning you can't pause for long. Where as the mono won't straighten the lure as quick, so you can pause more between the zig and the zag. Bass will be alerted to the lure on it's movement thru the water alone, but a subtle rattle in the lure dosen't hurt.

I own both the river2sea and Eddys walkbaits. River2sea is by far the easier to use of the two. infact the eddys sank when I initially got it and i had to change some terminal tackle just to get it to float! One of my mate's however just about swears by his luckycraft sammy. Heddon's zara spook is the classic of them all and has accounted for many bass in multiple countries!

Anyway, buy one and try them out. There fun to use but not the be all and end all of surface lures.

I like to use the C'ultiva zip n ziggy or tango dancers. Great action and easy to use.

watched ifish a few weeks ago and they were using zip n ziggy lures and were nailing bass. i have also caught trevally with them. great surface action on the lure.

i got a zara puppy today and hopefuly i get to try it out tomorow. im still going to get some more different types so all the help i can get is much aprieshiated, :-[ any others i should look at geting :)
