I tried one.. didnt catch anything, but thats because i snagged it pretty early. From using it for a few casts, i found it doesnt swim straight and you would probably need to upgrade the trebles.
Let us know how it goes.
Cheers
similar story to nabs.....doesn't swim straight although is ok if you slow you retrieve right down. dives reasonbly deep for a little lure. the hardware is a bit light.
A better one is the Prince brand copy. his one works well out of the box and is pretty cheap too. has VMC trebles but dodgy rings but at a Buck a pop on special..... good value. normal price about 4-5 bucks.
cheers, roo.

Yep... The Sprogs don't swim straight at first, need to play with the tow point on the lure to adjust it's action. I've only got the one and I don't like it one little bit... They are tank tested by Kokoda so I don't see why they shouldnt swim straight in the first place. The hardware on them you can bend with your pinky finger... Really need upgrading. Lucky I only paid 2 or 3 buckaroonies for mine.
Stick to the SX40... even if you have to spend a little more.

Work ok on bream but as stated above you need to tune them before use as the dont track to well out of the box.
A bit of time to tune and you have a cheap eco.

Have not used the Sprog but have caught plenty of brown trout on the kokoda wee whop which works really well for me (unfortunately cannot find a source for the wee whop in canberra).
