the bigger ones, as u can sometime catch poddies in

mullet, sea/sand/diamond and yellow eye, but the first three

u usually find them are weed beds, pylons on jetties,or hanging around the edges of mangrove creeks, up near the
banks. few ways to catch them the easiest is cast net,
or berley water with bread , use small hooks with bread on
or try bait jig with bits of bread on , usually around 5-15cm
the best for live baiting., mullet use the same feeding area
for long periods, if your brissey i get mine in logan or seaway
around pylons hope this helps

Hi guys
Another good spot to catch poddy mullet is beside the boat ramp at skinners park. you will also catch shrimp and prawns in the same location....another option is to castnet off the floating pontoon just down the road from the boat ramp.....choose an incoming tide about 3 hours before high....can sometimes get a net full of herrings....excelent bait.
good luck......cheers Brent ;D

Hey guys,
Cast netted about 40 poddies in 15 minutes off the rock wall at Alberton just on and after dusk on Wednesday arvo. Mostly around 4-6inches. Fair bit of repair to be done to the net now though. Half the weights were torn off on a snag though I ended up getting them back. It's well and truly paid for itself anyway but I'll still repair it.
Cheers Luke
