I headed out from Donnybrook for a social day of fishing this morning with a few mates. We pumped plenty of yabbies early then headed up towards the middle of the passage. The action was a bit stop start, and we moved spots very regularly. The end total was seven legal whiting (25 to 38cm), four legal bream (all about 25 to 27cm) and one nice 34cm grunter. We also caught at least twenty undersize bream, five or six undersize whiting, a small shovelnose and close to a dozen stingrays. They were everywhere this morning!
The wind started howling about 9am, but we persisted till noon. All in all we didn't set the world on fire with our results, but got a nice feed of fish and had a good social day. :)
