Mid Brisbane River

The mid Brisbane River has jumped into life with the bass season openning. This week had a few hour session (late start) in one hole with 9 bass caught. This week all were caught on spinners, none on fly. All fish between 35-42cm.
The previous week had a dawn session with 14 caught all on fly. Surface fly early & subsurface after the sun came up. Fish up to 53cm.

Tidal reaches there's the odd tarpon hanging around again. Best time is first of the run out tide. Get them in quick before the river whaler sharks nail them for you.

By the way how do you handle/ kill a crab?

Don't know where Davies Park is?
No secrets, just persistence & looking back at the fishing log to see where I've caught fish in previous years at what times.
No substitute for time on the water.
