Night fishin Natives

Just got back from a moonlight seranade in some small water bass country fishin surface lures. Got alot of strikes but failed to turn most of them into hook-ups. Boated 3 average bass & got done by a few bigger specimens.
Think the timid strikes were the result of alot of moon light on the water.
Maby in another week they will strike a bit more aggressively.

Yep, certainly another great adventure as Fitzys off-sider.
I think mate, that our theory about smaller presentations when the fish are timid may hold water.

Rather than having a passive, timid swipe at the larger Poppers we were using, I reckon a small Dahlberb or ear-plug popper on fly may do the trick.

Keen to try again with the long wands next time.
