G'day all,

I fished this afternoon at Manly/Lota either side of the top of the tide for 7 small whiting (best went 21cm) and a small bream (about 15cm).

Although I did not catch anything to bring home for a feed, it was still an enjoyable afternoon/evening.

I was using bloodworm for bait and also threw around some burley I bought at Big W - Force Ten Fish Nuts (I know what you are all thinking) that smells like aniseed.

Oh well, I am increasing my catch rate, just need to work on the size now.

Cheers

If you want to get the size up on those Whiting. and you don't mind a drive. Get yourself to Budds Beach at the Gold Coast.

It's in the refidex. Try late arvo and the bloodworms will work a treat. S/E wind is best.

Cheers Phill

Phill

Thanks for the tip. I will be heading to the coast later this month (a well deserved holiday :) :)) and will give Budds Beach a go.
