Had a great day on the water Sat,had a good youg fisho Mat Palmer out with me and managed some good fish on plastics and fly.These plastics I've been testing for about 10 or 11 months now are awsome and not even mackerel can destroy them.Mat managed in the early morning session 2 GT's, 2 spotty and 4 school macs I think without loosing a plastic and for the day there was 7 different species caught on them.Then with a change of locations he got a big queenie and more macs only having to change the plastic as it was sliding down the hook from a bit of damage around the plastic keeper on the jig.He then went on to catch more macs and a big Queenie with the new plastic.When the new 2" grub is released in a week or two it is really gunna catch some bream you just can't tear these things and there will be no tail bite off..The only plastic loss for the day was bust offs and that was three all other plastics I still have and can still use.During testing I haven't foud a fish that doesn't want to eat them yet they float and can be used on the surface.Here's a couple of pics.Paul

Can you supply any more details on the brand of soft plastics and also the jig heads you are using ?

Love that last photo fisher. What kind of plastics did you say these types were? In that last photo, the SP looks a little different than normal.

GO THE TERMINATOR SNAPBACKS!!!!!!!! go the mighty pink jerkbaits!!

Whiley, they are Terminator Snapback plastics.. not a normal softy.. but a plastisol type plastic that is virtually indestructable.. ive used them too.. and was testing a 4" jerkbait.. nailed 39 flathead, bream, tailor and a hungry estuary cod... still after them it was still in a brand new condition... at the moment you can only get 5" jerkbaits and tubes (squid lookin things) but im pretty sure they'll be releasing some new ones on the market for us bream and bass dongers (but the bigger ones will still nail bass) you can get them at any reputable tackleshop that knows a good plastic ;).. the best thing about these plastics are.. they have built in rattle pockets which accept the Terminator rattles (which are bough seperately) and inserted into the pockets to give your plastics not only the look and feel of an awesome bait.. but the sound to make a fish strike!

Yeh Vertico,your right they are Snapbacks by Terminator and by far the best plastic I've ever used.The jig heads on the pink one were just cheap 3/8oz I bought ages ago and mainly use them for flathead but they did the job when it was nessessary as those in the pics weren't the target species at that time.I normally use TT's Tackle Tactics jig heads and have found them to be great jigs with chemically sharpened hooks in 1/2 oz or bigger depending on the depth I'am working.I can't believe the catch rates these plastics are producing and the way they last is just incredible.Here's a close up pic of the heads I use normaly for the more serious fish.Paul

Typically, what weight of jighead would you use for a 5-incher? From what I can gather, that slit in the photo is where you'd attach the rattle part? I'll def look out for them next time im at the tackle shop, and indestructible rubber sounds pretty good to me. i'd think they are a little more $$ though. ?

Hi Tim,you must have been typing that post as I was replying to it,When can I put some pics up on yours I've got plenty.Here's a pic of the tubes and a soft jerk bait rigged with sticky weight and a lizard. The sticky weight will also be available soon great stuff.The tubes and the lizard are rigged for surface and bass and barra like them.Tim you gotta get up here for a fish.Paul

bloody plastics.. hehe.. addictive i tells ya.. my tackle bag ripped open last week.. on my trip i had to carry all my soft plastic containners in a 60 litre box from Silly Sollys.. something like 13 trays.. weighed around 18kg.. just soft plastics and some jigheads heh.. now if only Terminator brought out a few more plastics.. i could toss the lot away and fish terminator exclusively hehehe

the terminators are a top lure, zeeke gave me one to try and its had success, im sure it works best on male species as its definitely female, ::)

Mackmauler yeh it'll stretch a mile before it will tear an inch incredable stuff.

Vertico,just cast and retrieve fast and with erratic rod tip movement I prefer the white and pearl and white but the pink workes as well as do the other colours I've caught them on a few colours since starting to use them.
