Weipa went off!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've just got back from Weipa. 23 different species and we didn't reef fish. Will have some pictures soon. We fished the Hey River, Pine River, Down the coast to Red Cliffs, and had 2 days at the Wenlock. It's the best trip I've done, even better than NT. One of the days on the Wenlock we caught 42 Barra :o That was between 2 of us. The variety is amazing.

did u fish with a guide?? dave donald maybe? and how is the weather there this time of year? and how did u get to weipa and was it expensive as I really really wanna go there

My wife and I went up for the week. Yes we were guided. My mate works for one of the outfits and had some time free so I got a trip at "mates rates" I'm not into guides but having used one I've changed my mine. To begin with I didn't drive the boat so that resulted in about 30% more fishing time. My mate is a true professional and I learn more each time I fish with him. Alan Philliskirk owns the business and is a great bloke. I have been told of not so good guides as in any business but Alan's guides are gentlemen. For 6 days we crammed a lot in.
