3 of us hit sneaky creek for a quick jack attack this morning.
Less than 10 min from home!
Got there at about 4.45 home by 6.00, with 5 small jacks all were caught and released. Damn good mornings entertainment before work! ;D ;D ;D

Well to say the least, your advice saw them in the right direction. They had a ball. As you know they had no idea of where they were going, or even where the hell they were located. Anyway, apparently some good jack got caught and released, they also spotted good barra but were not obliging to take lures. It sounds like they are making the trip again soon (this time I’ll have to tag along and annoy you as well). ::)
Your advice was greatly appreciated. ;)
Just goes to show with local advice, it is possible for mug punters to get onto some quality fishing in your neck of the woods.
Thanks again Tony. ;D
Cheers, Zedjack

Good to hear Zedjack!
Next time I might have to tag along too!
There are some damn good spots in that direction, as good a jack fishing as you will find anywhere. Let me know when you are coming so I can organize some time.
Regards, Tony ;) ;D

What time (month) will the jack shut down up your way? Maybe make an effort before then?
Cheers Zedjack

They are right on the chew at the moment, but will probably slow down toward the end of next month. They tend to go off again about sept-oct ish. Definatly better in the warmer months. The barra can be very docile in the cooler months too.
If I was to pick a prime time, I would say oct-nov would give you the most options, as the pelagics are usually thick around the headland as well at that time.
Regards, Tony ;)
