Caught one 40cms - don't know what to do with it. [smiley=anxious.gif]

Is it good eating? If any of you have a recipe I'd be grateful.

If not good to eat - is it good for bait? Say for Tailor?

They are not too bad to chew on but they are a great bait. I would rather convert them into something more desirable.

i have met people that prefer them to whiting (no shit). i have eaten them, before and they are very mackeraly taste but quite a respectible fish. All the same i have caught thousands of them through my life and only eaten them once.

Try them mate and you will be surprised.

An oily flesh fish I have a german neighbor who smokes them. I would choose the bait option.
