Hi all, another day in paradise here from redcliffe.
Another trip to tempest today, weather was average but on line with the forecast and the current was running again today but we had the wind pushing us as well and the drift reached 2.8 knots in the arvo.
We scored just as good as wednesday with no snapper under 4kgs in the box but the largest was only 6.5kgs today and a fair few had spawned ,still the three of us had no problems in achieving our bags.
Searaider you gave up too easily,we were further out and i noticed most of the boats went by 10am.
The cape was sloppy by 3.30 with the waves up to 2mts and we had the old boat washed down well getting around.
I haven't bothered posting any photo's as the snapper looked much the same as wednesday's,cheers all no worries

no_worries ,
Well done with another good catch .
you must have been doing it pretty tuff with the current & wind conditions .
As you said we probably gave up to easily , but I was a bit concerned with the forcast .
We left about 11am when the N/NE was starting to push in .
The run from the Cape to Combie was pretty slopy then .

Regards

I won't know myself searaider if my mate buys this 27ft noosa cat.
She'll be a fast run out and back then.
Just for the record,we used 220lts,the average is about 170lts with all the running back over the drift due to current and slow trip back to the cape, cheers all no worries
