I KNEW

I knew the weather was not the greatest
I knew the destination was not the best choice
I knew it would be hard to get a feed
I knew I had a good crew
Things I DIDN'T KNOW
I didn't know that we would catch 2 snapper in 10 min on arrival.
I didn't know I would loose my glasses (if any one catches a snapper wearing glasses the're mine)
I didn't know that Cheech had never caught a Snapper before
We left Bribie at about 4am Paynefulland Cheech in my boat and Fish lips testing his. A sloppy run out to Cal wide. Arrived Cheech drops over and is nailed by a nice Snapper. I drop over and I am nailed by a nice Snapper Sam drops over and remained nailless all day. Spoke to Optimax and Bugman always good to here from members trid to call No worries but couldn't raise them.

Another tough day hey Wayne. We will have to go a bit further over the banks next time for a look ::) At least you still got a day on the water. All i did was stay home and drink myself silly.{i felt like the b/bear at 6 yesturday}

So what do you reckong ol' Fred's gunna say about you now mate -. Shoulda chartered for whale watching - we had an awsome morning with the ones we came across putting on a full show.

Sounds like most guys were doing it tough by the radio but I think I'll plan a serius fishing trip around there soon. Might have to take Snappa with me to give me the low down.

Saw a pair of glass floating down around southern flinders - shoulda picked them up ;D

Thanks again Wayne and Sam. I had a great day out with a couple of great blokes.

Although for a minute there Wayne may have thought the day was over before it started. As I went to drive the trailer off the ramp to park it, not being use to Waynes clutch needing to be almost completely out before it engaged, I rolled back a couple of feet so had to hit the brakes and tried again. Wayne thought the lot was going to end up in the drink. Good heart starter at 4.00am. :o

Sun just up, first drop and a Snapper!! 2 thoughts came to mind. First was, so this is what it is like fishing out here. Wow.. Second was that even if I didn't catch another fish all day, it is still a great day. (didn't actually think the second thought would happen. oh well)

And for the record, mine was the biggest 8) Note to self,,, hold fish in photo to best display it's assets.

Great boat as well. Good to see people take pride and care of their possessions.

By the way, the drag nut from my tss4 turned up at home. My 7yr old found it. The fact that he was probably also the one that removed it is another story. Thanks for the loan of your charter special.

And we got to see a few whales as well.

What are you doing Wayne, barwons for zip all and then you let Cheech catch his first snapper, ;D, now all he has to do is conquer the bay ;D
