Left boat ramp 4am saturday morning with crew of dad, my wife Toni and Smithy. Headed to our snapper spot and got anchored up and started burlying hard. Fish turned up right on cue and had our limit in a couple of hours. Went and loaded up on slimies and had a fish among the schools of bait for one mac tuna, 3 huge grinners, and a couple of hits and misses. Home and cleaned fish and the boat by 5pm. Did 70 mile for a fuel burn of 120litres.
Got the call from a mate wanting to go for a run in the sailfish, so we backed up today and headed out at 3.30am. Got some good snapper for him and showed him the fun of baitrunner fishing. Thought we should have burlyed up some cobia but they must all be down at Moreton. Had a small mako hookup twice and did an aerial display for us. Went and looked for some AJ's on jigs for no result. Back home with a good feed for him by 10am. Love this good run of weekend weather. Tony.
