Hi All,
Took a mate of mine out for a quick fish yesterday in the Bribie Passage, fished the first few hours of the incomeing tide the wind was blowwing around 15 knots when we left the marina ramp around 8 am and progressively got worse ende up only fishing for a few hours the fish in the pics were all caught on softies in total we got a 35,38,41,56 & 58 cm Flattys kept the 3 in the pics for a feed.
we were useing 2" Power Minnows in Pink Gold Fleck and Blue and Gold Fleck and one was caught on a june Bug and Chateruse Slider. A gret few hours out except for the wind but whos complaining could have been at work I suppose.

Nice Flatties Bomber :D. Saw you at the boat ramp I think but wasn't sure who you were. I headed out to chase some Whiting with the family - we got about 15 on the cockle banks but called the trip short due to the winds.
Cheers,
Mark

Hi Mark,
Noticed your boat great looking rig and how quite was that Yammy of yours, good to see you got a few. I was actually going to go and have a crack at a Jack or 2 up a little creek but once that wind got up decided to give them a miss, hope to see you again on the ramp one day next time we can say Gidday.

Jeffo,
The cockle banks isn't in the passage but out in moreton bay between Gilligans and Deception Bay. I am not much of an expert on the passage and only fish it on occassions, so I will leave it to others to respond.
If you are ever interested in shore based whiting fishing from the eastern or southern beaches of Bribie, then I should be able to help - it was one of my favourite fishing options before I owned a boat & got hooked on offshore ;D.
Cheers,
Mark
