Me again.
fished Maroon dam sunday, late start 12pm at the ramp.
bloody skiers everywhere. must have been 20 boats.
Plus those other bloody annoying noise makeing floating Debris ( jetski's) about 4 or 5 of these.
so fishing was abit crappy, they have marker bouys for no ski areas and the F#%kwits go right past it do a big loop stir up the bottom cause a big wave the pis# the fisherman off. its like were slarlum makers for the dip shites,
had my daughter with me tried everything, fraggers, tailspiners, and Hard bodies.
hard bodies got the best results.
had 2 hits on tailspinners, on the drop, with no hookups.
changed to hard bodies had several strikes first hookup was lost due to me giving the fish slack line and it spat the hooks.
second hookup was boated photoed and released, 5 hours for 1 under size bass ( 24cm ) but i got "A" fish for the day. ;D

You should have been there early before the idiots started lapping... ... it was quieter than normal on the surface but the lipless crankbaits were braining them before the ski boats kicked in !

Cloud 9,

Hate to say it but after ages refusing to shell out $20 - $30 on a single lure the media hype got to me & I finally 'invested' in a couple of 'Lucky' lures, the LV 70 & LV 100, so that I could compete with my fishing buddy's Jackalls.

Compared to my Cordells & Rapalas I have to admit that the new lures outfished them at least 2:1... ... although I have lost some fishing time as I now check my knots & leaders a lot more often to avoid the financial ruin of losing them !
