Went fishing and crabbing in the afternoon thru to evening on Wed. Nothing but blowies caught from the new bridge so we moved to Dawsville. Good fishing only started in the evening, Tailors/Herring and Skippys started biting at around 630pm at the Dawsville Channel but we had to leave as one of our mates had to work the night shift :). Big Blues are out, we caught 18 in an hour by dropping nets baited with chicken necks from the bridge and figured that was enough for a feed for the 4 of us, sizes were about 14cms. Small jennys were about but we threw them all back as they won't worth eating (just legal size). :)

I haven't been prawning so I don't know.

Yeah Mandurah has changed heaps thru the years!!! The canal homes are so gorgeous! It's going to be my first choice for retirement life! Fishing and crabbing from your own doorstep! The ultimate for me!

I grew up around that neck of the woods and my grandparents still live there (sitting on a gold mine they bought in thr 70's for about $7000)Heaps of great fishing around the place .....you brought back memories Vibes ,of long cold nights sitting with rods set out with live Tailor for mulloway in the Peel inlet(old bridge) and checking drop nets for crabs....Also some great fishing just a bit south at White hills and Tims Thickett.....AHHHH the memories!!!!
