Howdy,

Had a trip to Palmy this mornin, got up to a 11-15 knot southerly and decided it was now or never.

We were the only boat to pass through the bar until 7am

water was blue and warm with only a 1.3m swell, we set floatin pillies.

the furthest pillie went first with a solid run and produced the fish below [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

We then obtained a few yakkas and despatched then under ballons...took only 5 min for one to be smashed another 5 saw the fish 10ft under the boat...another spaniard, It took 1 more run then for some reason suddenly after slowing some what, picked up speed and was unstoppable eventually breaking us off on the reef . The line come back frayed, we had supplied a tasty breaky to a man in grey suit (sharky)

we lost 1 more yakka to an unknown with no hook up.

regards

Garry

JB,

You wouldn't think it was blowin 11-15...very comfortable. Water is super clear, thawed the bait out real fast too ;)

Too much baitfish for there to be any spots around, could keep a pilly in the water after sun-up

When the swell dies I might come visit you at Palmy. Raised in Currumbin but only actually fished Palmy twice. Sure you guys can find me a parking spot on the good days. ;)
