hi all

went to yeppoon last thursday. the weather was pretty poor so fished a couple of creeks up there .1st 1 was the coorooman creek for a couple of estuary cod .the next day went to sandy point and fished fishing creek only for a nice flathead .travelled from bundy to get there .400kms each way.back home now decided to go get some bait and throw some lures around at spot x 2min away ;D well caught a milkfish and then caught a jack 50cms long .then hooked upto a barra which straightened my trebles on the lure.took about 50metres before hooks pulled.

Nice Jack Gaffit!

My parents (rocky) informed me that they had a little over 6" in rain Thursday/Friday. It does wonders for the fishing!

You could probably mention spot-x (if it is where i'm thinking), most of the locals up there still wouldn't fish it unless the fish jumped into the esky gilled and gutted.

I caught my fisrt jack in yeppoon too, about 2 years ago.
it was in the causeway, now the causeway is way too shallow to navigate a times, too scared to kill my brand new s/steel prop.
anyway heres a photo of mine too....

cheers mate ;)
sorry problems with the image server on ausfish... need to allow larger photos guys.....
