the only way to beat them would be to tire them with a tight drag

yeh ...well he kinda had it on me early on in the piece ....a suden direction change at flat pace put him under the boat and scuffed the line ... from there on in i was fretting like no tomorrow and backed off...after an hour or so i was getting really fed up ...especially seeing it was still pulling line in 100 metre sprints over a matter of seconds ...and i knew who had control ! NOT ME ! so i did click the drag up a few more times cause i knew i didn't want to be there all day and my arms were already building lactic acid.
The line was bloody humming ....and i knew with the scuffing i was lucky to get away with it

As you said rob ...as soon as we moved within 100 metres of them engine running ...boof ...gone ...they were SOOOOOoo scittish !

ended up doing LARGE laps of a big busting school with slow trolled Slimeys ( dead baits ) and cubing whilst on the move .
Didn't take long for them to follow up the trail and find my bait

hook up 9:45...in the boat at 12:30....damn ...what a fighter ! [smiley=whip.gif] [smiley=whip.gif] [smiley=whip.gif]

Well done ;D, and what a LT for the first. Seems they already taught you to show them respect. They know just how to use under the boat to their advantage. Hopefully still around when finish more boat repairs mid week.
