went out today with ken and whynot. got to spinaker sound at about 4.30am and had a bit of a wait for ken to arrive. it was like an Ausfish meet n Greet at the ramp.

finally got out in the water and began chasing the fish around. the odd bird and boil but very little action. drifting around some birds at one stage and this large school of 10kg + longtails broke the surface. slugs in and within a few seconds the fish had gone down deep.

didn't seem like many people caught much at all though.

later on we found some longtails working their way up bribie. started to go for a slug attack but they just didn't want to hook up. (then rob tells me all the things i did wrong)

end tally fish 14 humans 0

thanks heaps for the invite ken. had a great day. it was great to put some more faces to names.

cheers phil

Yeah it was a bit like that phil we couldn't find much at all >:( a few birds here and there we went along Bribie to find something but nothing. We ended up soaking some baits over at Curtain for nothing and just made my day when I lost my anchor and chain stuck on something below [smiley=angryfire.gif] bloody rope broke :'( :'(

hey black rat
lost my reef anchor and chain at curtain on tuesday same thing brand new rope snapped
anyone who pulls up a brand new reef anchor and new chain i would appreciate it's return, maybe i should have asked the divers that were there to go get it for me
then again there is most likely that many down there they wouldn't know which 1 to get

ken i was at the ramp atleast 20 minutes before you. i think it is a disease called "runninglatephobia" :-[ alowing 1.5hrs to get to bribie it doesn;t take that long to get to noosa. :-X.

while i was waiting at the ramp scott15 worked out i was from ausfish after glancing at my shirt for a good minute or 2 ;D . then at 5am greg, cragie and damo all pulled up at the ramp. amazing timing ;D. then when we arrived back at the ramp dfox was retrieving the boat from the ramp. 8)

Hi guys,
Yes it was a great day.
Just a shame that the fish knew how to play hide and seek better then us.
Thanks again Ken. You just kept on trying to get us onto those elusive fish that were playing so unfair.
Good to meet you Phil.
Cheers,
Graham.
