What a great morning to be on the water ;)
Kayaks in by 6am and a relatively cool SSW breeze tahat dropped off to zero by 7.30am. Just as well - it gets bloody frustrating in a kayak trying to be precise and being blown off your mark :-/
Anyway mate of mine has been spending alot of hours picking up a few here and there and yesterday on the same stretch of water got ZERO :-X
How different a day can make it. Bottom line 17 bass in 4 hours not counting all the follows and boils. Every one was on surface lure and none kept. Smallest was around 25 - 30cm biggest went 44cm.
All up a great morning with some very visual fishing. ;D

The pumpkin in the last shot was from an overhanging vine at the top of the creek - thought it would be a shame to let it rot in the water ;D

Looks like a nice morning on the Yak.

I thought the Pumpkin was morning tea. Fish and Pumpkin broth??

looks like a great day of fishin congrats. im glad that catch and release for bass is practiced in australia as well. those bass look a bit different then the ones i catch here have larger mouths and a distinctive line across them with darker green on the top and lighter green and whitish on the bottom. i guess those bass are australian bass other than largemouth. anyways congrats again

Scroman,
You have made me homesick, I used to fish there (won't say where it is for obvious reasons) glad you put your fish back as well. I lived in Murwillumbah for a long time, there is not much bass country I hav'nt explored.
Good luck Roz.
