Good to see it was quite at most venues today. The big fella up stairs must go "righto its the weekend so the water inshore must turn cold (22dg) and the fish must go on a diet! for 2 days and I almost forgot- the wind must blow in from the north at about twenty knots minimum...".
Jeez he makes it hard. We worked hard in terrible conditions to land 1 reasonable Wahoo and a solitary yellowfin out of a massive school, but I guess thats fishin'.
Theres always monday to look forward to!
Cheers

Mono, how has the slimy schools been this yr out past the close in mackerel grounds, are they still thick or do the longliners net the bait there too?

Hi Mackm, close in where we normally get our slimies they have been non-exsistant all season but the FAD and in the bay itself has been holding good schools. Yes the LL occasionally sneak in late afternoon and spend the night filling up on bait and are normally gone by dawn!! Even though its now a Marine Park they wont or cant stop them! This year but, we have caught a hell of a lot of our 'blues' on slow trolled live yakkas.
Cheers
