Fished around the Cape on Sunday. A bit slop to start but turned into a magic day around midday. Didn't see many boats out but believed a few were doing overnighters. Weather would have been perfect for it. Caught 6 Black Spot Tusk Fish , largest being just shy of 4kegs. All caught on Squid. Also some squire around the Cemenco (?). Flew home at 4500revs for some coldies. Hope these pics turn out. Mick

They're a nice sweet flesh. How do you normally cook them?[smiley=chef.gif] [smiley=chef.gif]
Good to see pictures being posted by more members as it's better than just reading stories about big ones or bags full.
Keep them coming

Angla, not sure whats the best way. Maybe 'Horse' the cooking guru can offer some suggestions?

well done they are some nice parrots
with tuskies i cook them whole if they are less that 40cm long. fill the gut with frest lemon and cook on the BBQ it is one of the nicest fish you can eat.
as for the bigger tuskies i filliet them and bread crumb/roll in flour and just cook on a BBQ. the flesh is very full of flavour and adding to much to the filliets may take away the great flavour.
hope you enjoy them in whatever method you cook them. let us know how you cooked them and how they went.
cheers phil
