in time order ...
straddie.
tugun beach, the deephole north side of little groin kirra, snapper rocks at dawn.
no it wasn't.
fresh (straight off a trawler never frozen) bonito.
Yes, its my favorite place.
I look forward to them Drew. I'll be fishing the reverse tide this week - the low at dusk with the moon rise at 9.30pm - chance of a real big mumma with that.

Chris,
Bring it on. I'm leaving tomorrow for the golden sand of Nth Straddie. Now the boat is officially broken I can concentrate on the suds.
If you're coming back over this weekend come down and see us - we'll be in one of the last jump ups before the pin.
The landy will probably be sitting on main beach in front of some nice gutter looking to pull a few bream during the day. At night she'll be in stealth mode foe the big tailor.
Nice fish - let's see how I go.

moonrise to moon overhead fish,
then bundy,
then sleep,
late breakfast
then a whiting fish while the moon sleeps & over again -
A Straddie Plan. ;D
Got ya package too, thanks muchly.
Unfortunately, I just scored a heap of work for the weekend. I may get to the beach on south straddie sat night if bloody Ausfish stops distracting me tonite :-/ ;) I was hoping to fish King O Pin but that won't happen seriously...

Geez Chris,
Thats a nice Greenback mate. I'm suprised the buggers ever get the chance to make it up here. On the way back from Sydney last week we stopped to give the southwind a run or two and on every beach we stopped at from Crowdy Head to Iluka the Netters were there. >:(
Schools of fish gone. Gets harder for a poor 'ol bloke with a single line and hook. Well done with that one son.
Cheers,

I thought beach netting in NSW was banned too!
Just goes to show what regulations are worth.
Still a nice couple of fish though!

chris, heres the biggest tailor i could manage up teewah on sat night. not even a kilo.
the westly on friday made the water so clear that i hardly saw a fish. there was no white water any where. it was a good spot i was in just know fish and white water for them. sunday the sou easter picked up and there was plenty i white water for them. i reckon the same drain i was fishing in would have fired realy well sunday nite but i had to head back home.
they will make good bait for the next comp! ;D

Tog Green-backs there guy's.
I'm sure even big Cliffy would have been proud of them.
I take my hat off to dedicated Tailor Fishermen, standing on a cold winters beach at night, up to thier clakers in icy suds. Deserve every good fish they catch.
Cheers
Craigie.
