Calamari?

Late post but hit a school of these a couple of weeks ago. Caught about 8 in about 12 casts and finally got busted up on the fringing reef by a decent squid (using 2 kg line). Kept 2 for a feed.

This was about the second biggest,. The one that busted me up was almost twice the size of this one

nice catch mate, where abouts did u get them and were there heaps around. also wat sort of techniques did u use.

The squid master! I don't think Dan owns a peice of clothing that does not have an inc stain on it. I am sure his Tux at the wedding had a squid squirt on it!

They seem to come on when it is dead calm. As for techniques I like the slow wind not jigging. Though I am jigging over shallow reef about 3 foot deep.
