Went for a quick toss of a few pillies of Cleveland Point Saturday night hoping to try my luck at a few choppers. Got a hook up in the first few casts, but with one big jump and shake of the head, the tailor tossed my hooks just short of landing the bugger. Oh well.
Only fished 45mins each side of the high tide. Got a few more hits, but the only fish I could seem to drag out of the water were pike.
This one jumped and flipped like a little barra. Would have been good fun on lighter line, and had the girlfriend excited anyhow. (note the glove from the previous fish, which decided to shake its head just at the right time, and subsequently lodge a couple of my hooks in my fingers. Slippery little suckers.)
