Howdy yowl

Well headed out to Murphy’s reef around about 6ish and what a trip it wasn't. Conditions were average with some 15-knot gusts. The water wasn't much clearer then in the Brizzy River and the fishing wasn't to flash.

Any way we got out to murphies dropped the anchor and :D..... undersized sweetlip after undersized sweetlip :(. By 12 the able crew of the usual mafia bosses weren't too happy with the fishing :-/ but I managed a 40 cm pearly ;D.

We moved around a bit but it was useless. So the only logical thing to do was to head to the inshore reefs. We got to Greenings reef and I nailed a sweetlip going 41cm. And the crew went for a swim (European style) and had to share one towel. Now that was interesting.

We then headed to arkright shoal and that is where we got most of our fish dad got the biggest whiptail I have ever seen. And Sash got a sweetlip going 35cm and a cod of some sort. Dad also got a sweetlip of the same size and a scorpion cod if I’m not mistaken. Well took a few pics and home we went. the ride how was smooth and back at the ramp at 6ish.

Great day on the water but the fish weren't playing the game. Oh well I guess, I hope we will have getter luck next time.

i fished for12 hours so i wasn't happy jan

and the whiptailwas a spine cheeck because the coulreations were different from a whiptail.
the conditions were great from about noon onwards

and with the inshore reef coment i ment that arkright shoul is a really inshore reef.

adn also do rock cod have a size limit and if so what is it?

cheers all michael
