Spent a few days camping and fishing the eastern beach on Moreton. Weather was absolutely perfect from Thursday to Saturday, with no wind for most of the time. Unfortunately a huge swell made fishing the beach hard work, but it was great to watch the big tubes out the back. Landed a few nice fat tarwhine, a few good dart and one whiting for the trip. Enough for a few feeds.
Photo below was taken from Cape Moreton late on Saturday morning... perfect!

Nice photo Jollyman,
No Bream - that's a surprise - the winter spawning run of the ocean bream should be still going. I'm guessing you were using pippis.
Sometimes when you got to those magic places it's actually too much of a hassle to put the rods in the water ;D

Feet in the water just before daylight, fish through till about 8ish then if things are quiet just sit back and watch the water, sweeeeeeeeeet :)
Really hard to give a rats about anything much on days like those. Nice pic jollyman sounded like a good trip.

Nope, no bream bugman. I was using pippis. Didn't bother even trying for worms due to swell. Was tough keeping a line in the water with the big swells. Had to use a lot of lead and time the cast, then run back up the beach before getting swamped by the next wave :-) Even then half the time your bait ended up on the beach again.
Oh well, weather was still too good to complain.
