Slow Day off Caloundra 12 Mile with vertico.. not much to report.. we got on the water around 1:30pm.. got some livies.. unfortunately they were whiptails as the slimey macks and yakkas werent on the scene

headed out for a fairly smooth ride, very quick soundup and dropped anchor... lotsa small squire on the show but no big mummas and papas.. Verts managed to score a 2.5kg squirey and a smaller squirey.. aswell as a small parrot and such.. i got a small parrot.. and some good photos.. we headed back in at 7pm with a slightly bumpy ride..

not a bad squire that sean and top pics tim, norm we give it 20 min and if there are no decent fish on board get the hell outa there, you got some serious patience sitting it out for 5 hrs or so!

we would have got more big squire but i think the wind pushed us off the spot, dropped a big fish had a lot of weight, pretty sure it was a big squire / snapper . only had him on for around 5 seconds

Vert,

What are you early opinions of the Stabi in offshore conditions ??

Take it to the Barwons in good weather ?? get home safely it it blew up a bit ??

Have a fascination for Stabis 8)

Cheers
